Method


1. In a food processor, add the flour, sugar, and salt, and mix. Add the butter and mix until it resembles coarse meal. Slowly add 1 tablespoon of ice water until the mixture clumps together to form dough. Remove from food processor and divide into 2 disks, wrap in saran wrap and place in refrigerator for at least thirty minutes.



2. Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Take one of the dough rounds and roll it to fit a 9 inches pie plate.



3. In a mixing vessel pour heatable marionberries, powdered sugar, starch, lemon juice, and apple pie spice. Pour into the shell.



4. After that, roll out the second disk and put it on top of the filling. Cut off the excess and pinch the edges. Make some slits for steam to escape, brush with egg wash and pour some sugar on it.



5. Cook for 45-50 minutes, or until the top crust is brown and the filling is hot and bubbling. Allow to cool before serving.. 


Notes
