Ingredients


2 cups boiled chickpeas (chana)

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 medium tomato, finely chopped

1 small cucumber, chopped (optional)

1-2 green chilies, finely chopped

1 small boiled potato, chopped (optional)

2 tablespoons tamarind chutney

1 tablespoon mint-coriander chutney (optional)

1 teaspoon chaat masala

½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder

½ teaspoon red chili powder (optional)

Salt to taste

Fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Sev or papdi (for garnishing)

Lemon juice (to taste)

Instruction


1. Prepare the Chickpeas: Boil the chickpeas until soft but not mushy. Drain and cool them.


2. Mix the Veggies: In a large bowl, combine boiled chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, cucumber, green chilies, and boiled potato (if using).


3. Add Spices: Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.


4. Add Chutneys: Add tamarind chutney and mint-coriander chutney, stirring everything until the chickpeas are well coated.


5. Garnish and Serve: Add a dash of lemon juice, top with fresh coriander leaves, sev, or papdi. Serve immediately for best taste and texture.
