Homemade Green Juice (Suja-Inspired)
Ingredients:
1 cucumber (for hydration)
2-3 celery stalks (rich in vitamins)
1 handful of spinach or kale (for greens)
1 green apple (adds sweetness)
1/2 lemon (for a citrusy kick)
1-inch piece of fresh ginger (optional, for digestion)
1 cup coconut water (for added electrolytes and hydration)
1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional, for extra fiber and omega-3s)
Instructions:
1. Prepare Ingredients: Wash all the fresh produce. Slice the cucumber, apple, and lemon. Peel the ginger.
2. Blend: Add all ingredients to a blender: cucumber, celery, spinach (or kale), apple, lemon juice, ginger, and coconut water.
3. Optional Boost: For a nutritional boost, add chia seeds or flax seeds. These are rich in fiber and healthy fats.
4. Blend Until Smooth: Blend until everything is smooth and well-combined. If the juice is too thick, add more coconut water or regular water to adjust the consistency.
5. Strain (Optional): If you prefer a smoother juice, you can strain it using a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag to remove the pulp.
Pour the juice into a glass and enjoy fresh!
This juice provides a refreshing, detoxifying, and energizing combination of fruits and vegetables, much like what you'd find in a Suja juice. It's perfect for boosting your immune system and keeping you hydrated throughout the day.
